1940 Printing of Adolf Hitler's, Mein Kampf
     This is Adolf Hitler's 1940 publishing of his story, Mein Kampf.  This Leather Bound Cream Cover Book was not a presented version and is in very good, to near excellent condition.  The marble cream colored cover board and the dark blue spine show minor wear, with signs of use and age.  However the gold embossing on the blue leather spine is yet,  quite bright and vibrant, with no signs of wear.  This book was distributed out of Munich and measures 5 1/4" wide and 7 1/2" high and 1 1/2" thick.  This is a very collectable piece of world history, and would be a great addition to any library.

RARE, 1906, The Analytical Holy Bible
     This is The Analytical Holy Bible, published in 1906, by Egyptian Publishing Company of Carbondale, Illinois.  The book measures 11" high, 8 7/8" wide, and 2 1/2" thick.  It has 1066 pages of the Old Testament and the New Testament, and has a 379 page word index to the Holy Scriptures as well.  The book is in excellent condition with the gold gilding on the cover being virtually in mint condition.  The spine has some wear on the top and bottom.  The pages have a slight bit of yellowing, and are in great shape as well.  This is a very heavy book at just under 8 pounds.  This is a very nice book, that would be an excellent addition to any library.

VERY RARE, Animal Intelligence, by George J. Romanes
     This is an extremely rare book, published in 1883, 
III Edition, by Kegan Paul.  Trench & Co., of 1 Paternoster Square, for Haileybury College.  Haileybury first opened in 1809 for young men who would inevitably work for the Honorable East India Company.  The school closed in 1858, only to reopen again in 1862.  The school crest contains the words Sursum Corda, meaning, "Lift up your Hearts", its motto.  This book belonged to Arthur D. Crease in Midsummer 1886.  This is a hardcover book, is in very good condition, except for the obvious burn mark on the front cover.  All 520 pages are in excellent condition with no yellowing apparent at all.  A great piece of history.

VERY RARE, 1898 Publishing of the book VITALOGY
     Here we have an extremely rare find in a book that was copyrighted in 1897, by I.N. Reed, and Published in 1898 by the Northern Publishing House of New York and Chicago.  Written by Geo P. Wood, M.D., and E.H. Ruddock, M.D..  The book is Vitalogy, or Encyclopedia of Health and Home, Adapted for Home and Family Use.  It is two volumes in one, has 1250 pages, is 9 1/2' high, 7" wide, and 4 1/4" thick.  The cover is in great shape, but the front cover is almost completely detached, and about the last 100 pages have become quite dry at the top corner and have flaked off in small portions, but have no affect of the legibility at all.  The pages have yellowed, but are still in great shape.  An amazing collector's item!

RARE, Kinder und Hausmarchen der Bruder Grimm, Vol.1
     This is a rare Volume 1 Edition, of the German book, Kinder und Hausmarchen der Bruder Grimm.  Published in 1936 by Schmidt and Gunther of Leipzig, of Germany.  It has 90 black and white, and 6 color illustrations by Ludwig Richter.  The book is in great condition with some markings on the cover.  The binding is a bit lose in the back pages.  All 855 pages have a hint of yellowing to them.  This book is a very fine example of one of the most popular story telling duo's of their time, and an excellent piece of literary history.  An great addition to any library in the world.

     This is a rare edition of a famous poem, Snow Bound, A Winter Idyl,  by John Greenleaf Whittier, from 1866, and is illustrated.  This book contains, in 60, thick paper pages the entire poem.  It has a bit of water damage, with the back inside cover page missing, and the cover worn as well, but otherwise the book is in good shape.  This book is a nice piece of history and would be a great addition to a book collectors library.

     This rare German book is by Thomas Mann.  It is, "Das Wunderkind".  Published in 1925 by S. Filcher / Berlag / Berlin.  The book is in good condition with a little fraying on the spine, as you can see in the picture.  It measures 7"  by 4 3/4" and has 117 pages with only a slight hint of yellowing to them, and are in great, legible condition.

Here is a fairly rare find.  A book written and illustrated by Lore Vonrecklinghausen, "Sonne Mond und Sterne".  Published in Berlin in 1925 by the Volksverband der Bucherfreunde, Wegweiser-Verlag G.m.b.H..  This book is in very good condition, with only a slight bit of wear to the corners, as seen in the picture.  All 32 pages inside the book are in excellent condition, with virtually no wear at all, and the illustrations and writings are as vibrant as ever.  The book measures 8 1/2" high, 12 1/2" wide, and 
1/4" thick.  This is a truly rare find in the book itself, as well as the fantastic condition it is in.  A great addition to any library.

     This is a very rare version of the German book Geschichte der Reformation, Concordien Formel, published in 1883.  Written by August Emil Frey, the book is in excellent condition, with a little bit of fading to the outer cover.  All 172 pages are perfectly intact, with a slight bit of yellowing.  The book measures 5 1/8" wide, and 6 7/8" tall.  A great addition to any library.

RARE 1867, Chirurgischen Operationslehre by Linhart
     Here we have a rare 1867 publication of Dr. Wenzel von Linhart's book, Compendium der Chirurgischen Operationslehre.  Published in Wein, by Wilhelm Braumuller, with 496 Wooden pressed illustrations.  The book had 982 slightly yellowed pages, and the front hard cover is completely detached and the spine cover is being held on by the back hard cover.  It is also quite interesting that the loosened spine cover reveals writings from some other novel as well.  The inside of the book is in very good legible condition.  This book was considered very important in its time and still is today for the basic operating standards.  This would make an excellent addition to any medical library.

Dr. Hugo Rachel's Geschichte der Volker und Kulturen
     This fairly rare book from Dr. Hugo Rachel, Stories of People and Cultures from the Beginning until Today, was published in 1920 by Paul Parey of Berlin.  It is a hard cover book, with the normal wear expected from it's age, but is still in very good shape.  There are 418 pages which has some slight yellowing to them.  There are not too many of these books around, and it would make a great addition to any library.

Audels New Electric Library Vol. XI, Math & Calculations
     This is a historical book in the electrical field.  It is Audels New Electric Library, Vol. XI, Mathematics and Calculations for Mechanics.  Copyrighted in 1932 and reprinted in 1940, this soft, red leather book is in great condition, with only some slight wear to the outer binding and some yellowing to the 234 pages, plus additional pages in the back.  The book was one of the foremost aids in it's field at it's time and still remains quite relevant, with all it's diagrams and illustrating aids in the electrical field.  Volume XI is not quite as popular as earlier volumes and thus very few remain.  So, this particular book would be an excellent addition to any library.

VERY RARE, 1892 German Historical Reading Book
     This is a very rare find.  The book is H.S. Beresford-Webb's German Historical Reading.  Published in 1892 by New York's Henry Holt and company, the main book  is in German, but the index and notes are all in English.  The books 302 pages are in excellent condition and in the front is a stamp from Drake University, where it used to be a part of their library,  The hardcover book has some wear on the top and bottom edges of the binding and there is some wear on the binding itself, but it is still very firmly held together.  The book measures 7 1/2" high, and 5 1/4" wide, and would make a great addition to a collectors library.

VERY RARE, 1878 Edition of the Masonic Review,
Volume 51
     This is an extremely rare book, and there are very few of these books around.  It is the 1878 publishing of the Masonic Review, Volume 51, published by Wrightson and Company, of 13 West Fourth Street in Cincinnati, Ohio, and edited by Thomas J. Melish.  The books 576 pages are slightly yellowed, but otherwise in excellent condition. The outer binding is quite strong yet with a small piece of the outer cover missing on the top corner.  There is some wear to the outer binding, due to age of course.  But the book is in great shape yet, for it's age.  It measures 
8 1/4" high, and 6" wide.  A real collectors item!

RARE, German book, Gottes Finger,
by W.O. von Horn
     Here we have a German book, Gottes Finger, by W.O. von Horn, with some rare attributes to it.  The precise publishing date is unknown, but is somewhere between 1880 and 1916.  The book is in great condition, with some wear on the cover and the outer corners.  There is some yellowing to the pages, and it measures 5" wide and 7" high.  The sticker on the inside shows that a man named Hugo Krueger received this book as a Christmas gift in Berlin, Ontario, which became Kitchener, Ontario in 1916.  This in itself is a fantastic piece of history for this particular book.

Little Paul From The Dombey And Son Of
Charles Dickens
     This is an amazing piece of history by one of the most famous literary geniuses of all time.  It is Little Paul from the Dombey and Son of Charles Dickens.  It is illustrated by Darley and was published by DeWolfe, Fiske, & Co., Publishers of Boston.  There is no publishing date, but is considered to be from the late 1800's.  The cover is green with some nice art work on it, and is in very good condition with some slight fading and a little wear of the bottom of the spine.  The 170  pages have some yellowing to them but are perfectly intact.  It measures 5 1/4" wide, by 7 1/2" high.  Anyone interested in literary history would love to see this book in their library.

     This is a rare book of poetry.  The Golden Treasury, by Francis Turner Palgrave, published in 1892 by Macmillan and Co., of London and New York.  The book's outer red cover on the spine is missing and has some wear to the other corners as well, but otherwise is strongly held together.  All 380 pages are in excellent condition with a it of yellowing.  It measures 4 1/8" wide and 6 3/8" high.  This historic book would be an excellent addition to any library.

RARE, Essentials of Histology, by E.A. Schafer, 1898
     This is a rare medical book published in 1898.  The Essentials of Histology, Descriptive and Practical, by E.A. Schafer, a professor of Physiology in University College, London.   Published by Longmans, Green, and Co. of London.  This 5th Edition has almost 400 figures, in it's 359 pages.  The book is 6" wide and 8 3/4" tall, and has a very noticeable bend in the front cover, with a few stains as well.  There is a small tear in the bottom corner of the spine, and the first page of the list of references in the back of the book has the top corner ripped off.  Otherwise, the pages are in very good condition with very little yellowing.  This book is a piece of medical history and would be a great addition to such a collectors library.

Work's of Charles Follen, A Memoir of his Life,
Volumes 1 - 5
     These are fairly rare books from 1841, 1842, 1841, 1841, and 1841.  The Work's of Charles Follen with a Memoir of His Life.  Volumes 1 - 5, out of 5.  The book's are in good condition with a small piece missing on the top of the outer binding, of Volume 1 and 2 with some wear on the top's of 3-5 as well.   The bindings seem to be getting very dry as well, but the books are still firmly held together.  There is a regular wear on the outer corners of the pages and very little yellowing.  Volume 1 is 637 pages, 2 is 390, 3 is 363, 4 is 399, and 5 is 373 pages, and they measure 5" wide and 8" high.  Very collectible pieces of history!

     This book is from 1925, which is the Nobel Prize Edition named Caravan,  The Assembled Tales of John Galsworthy, Volume III.  This is a hard cover book wit gold gilding on the spine.  The book is in very good condition overall with very little wear, and little page yellowing as well, considering it's age.  There are no tears, bends, or any markings in this 760 page book.  It measures 7 5/8" high, 5 3/8" wide and 1 3/4" thick.  This would be an amazing addition to any library.

     This Fortieth Edition book was published in 1864 by New York's Charles Scribner.  The book is in very good condition with some wear to the top and bottom of the spine, a few stains, and very little yellowing to the 251 pages.  the book measures 5 1/4"  wide, and 7 1/8" tall.
There are some  very interesting pieces of advice in this book, and it would be a great addition to a collectors library.

     Here we have a book by Wallace Bruce, copyrighted in 1894.  It is Wayside Poems.  There are many illustrations in the book and it is in good condition with some yellowing to the 165 pages.  There is some open wear to the edges of the spine and the cover along with a couple stains.  It measures 6 3/4" wide, and 9" high.  There is some very good historic writings in this book and it would be a very fine addition to any library.

Plutarch's, circa 1925 edition of

     Here we have a book with no publishing date listed, but has been found to be from around 1925.  Grosse Griechen und Romer, Ausgewahlte Lebensbilder, Neu bearbeitet von Dagobert von Mikusch, and published in  Berlin by, Propylaen-Verlag.  The paper cover is in fairly bad shape, but still holds together quite well.  The hardcover itself is in great condition with only a few small spots on it and a water stain on the top right corner of the front cover.  It is 100% structurally sound.  All 394 pages are in great shape as well, with only a slight hint of yellowing.  It measures 7 7/8" high by 5 1/8" wide.

Ten Volumes in One, 1903, First Edition
     Published in 1903 by P.F. Collier & Son Company of New York, this book and all it's 1003 pages are in remarkable condition.  The soft, reddish purple leather cover has some wear to it, but the book is structurally, very sound, and the pages have no yellowing to them at all.  This is truly a collector's piece, and would make a great addition to a collector of literary history.

VERY RARE, 1893 Publication of Scott and Denney's
Paragraph - Writing
     This is a great find in the fact this book is extremely hard to find.  It's a  Third Edition revised and enlarged, 1893 publication by Allyn and Bacon of Boston and Chicago.  Fred N. Scott, Professor of Rhetoric at the University of Michigan, and Joseph V. Denney, Professor of Rhetoric at Ohio State University created this book in which the literary directions given are still followed to this day.  The book is in good condition with the top right 2 inches or corner are worn through, and there is some dents in cover as well.  But the structure and the binding are in good strong condition.  The 292 pages are slightly yellowed and in great shape.  It measures 7 3/8" high by 5 1/4" wide.

Rudolf Herzog's 1928
Kornelius Banderwels Gefahrtin
     Here we have a fairly rare book, published in 1928 by the J.G. Cotta'sche Buchhandlung Rachfolger from Stuttgart und Berlin.  The book is in great condition, except for the spine cover is held on by the seam to the front cover, and pages 2-7 are missing.  All of the rest of the 397 pages are in great condition with very little yellowing to them.  The book measures 7 9/16" high, and 5 1/4" wide.

1874, Gesang- und Choralbuch
     Here we have a rare book from 1874, published by J. Kohler, Reformirte Kirchen Buchhandlung.  The books spine cover is held on by the back seam as can be seen in the picture.  The front cover is also quite loose, but is still attached.  The first couple pages, the title page and copywrite page are detached.  The gold gilding on the outside of the pages is still quite prevalent and striking.  All 732 pages are present and yellowed.  Besides the cosmetic problems with the book it is still a fine piece of history.  It measures

     Published in 1951 by Moritz Schauenburg of Lahr / Schwarzwald, this book is in excellent condition.  The paper cover itself only had a few tears and nicks in it.  The hardcover is in near excellent condition with the corners slightly bent.  All 372 pages are in great shape, with no noticeable yellowing at all.  A great story book to ad to any library.

Reclams Schauspielfuhrer, 1953
     This German book was published by Reclam - Verlag Stuttgart, with 32 pictures, and 1126 pages.  The black soft cloth cover is still in excellent condition with no noticeable wear to it at all.  The pages, binding, and structure of the book overall is in amazing condition, and really no shows very little aging at all.  This would make an excellent addition to a collectors library.

     This German paperback book was published in 1915 by Hermann Schaffstein in Koln.  The cover is a bit lose and the first two pages in the front and the last page in the book are as well, but the rest of the book is in fairly good condition.  The rest of the pages in the book are in great condition and only slightly yellowed.  As you can see from the picture the book is still very much in a good, presentable condition.

     This 1937 edition book, printed by Franckh'sche Verlagshandlung of Stuttgart is a paperback book with a rather picturesque paper cover as well.  The paper cover on the book itself is lose, but is in good condition.  The paper sleeve is worn on the corners but still is in good condition as well.  All 151 pages are in a yellowed condition, but still in very good shaped as well.  This is a great gardening book, with a lot of information in it, and would be a great addition to a gardener's library collection.

     This German book was published in 1953 by Verlagshaus Reutlingen Oertel & Sporer, and is very good condition.  The hardcover is in excellent condition, with no markings, stains, or wear.  The 341 pages have yellowed , but that is the only way to see that the book is almost sixty years old.  The book almost seems new!  This would look really good on the shelf of any collector.

     This book was published by Gigenbrodler, Berlag, of Berlin.  There are 327 illustrations created by coated plates, and then there is all the art work in the text as well.  The book has some wear on the spine, as you can see in the picture.  The overall structure of the book is still nice and strong, with only a slight detaching happening in the first few pages.  There is a little bit of yellowing to the 616 pages of the book as well.  It measures 9 1/8" high, by 6 1/4" wide.

     Published by Deutsche Buch - Gemeinschaft of Berlin, mit Zeichnungen von E. Heinze - Geriche,  this 1826 book was Eichendorff's best known work.  The book is pretty good shape with some wear to the outer spine and the hard cover.  The binding is still holding together quite strongly.  The 151 pages have yellowed, but are still in great shape as well.  The book measures 7 5/16" high, and 4 9/16" wide.  This is a true piece of history that would be an amazing addition to any library.

     Wilhelm Jensen, 1837-1911, wrote this book in 1878, but the actual publishing date of this book is unknown.  It was published by Hase & Koehler / Berlag / Leipzig.  This was the first book Jensen created.  The book is in good condition, with some general wear and markings.  The spine cover is lose from the spine itself, but still firmly attached to the back and front hard cover.  The 222 pages are yellowed and still in very good shape.  The book measures 7 1/2" high, and 4 7/8" wide.

What Women Should Know
     This is a very rare publication of Eliza Bisbee Duffy's book, What Women Should Know.  Published in Cincinnati, in 1873 by the Queen City Publishing Co..  Most publications were from Philadelphia.  Duffy was a feminist who believed that women deserve a "thorough acquaintanceship with the organs and functions of their own bodies, in order that they may guard against disease and suffering in themselves and that they may bring forth healthy children". The outer cover has some wear and some tears to the outer spine on the top and bottom.  At the midpoint of the book, the pages have detached from the inner spine, but are still held together by the binding threads, and all are present, and slightly yellowed.  An amazing historical view of the feminist movement!  A true collector's item!

     Here we have a book published by Porter and Coates of Philadelphia in 1856.  It is the Life of Oliver Cromwell.  This old book has been through a lot.  It has survived a fire, as you can see in the picture on the back cover.  However it does not affect any legibility in those last 50 pages of this 447 page book.  All the pages are quite yellowed, but in great shape.  The binding is somewhat lose, but all the pages are still thoroughly attached.  And there is just some typical wear to the hard cover itself, with a  2" tear on the bottom front corner at the spine.  This is a great historical book, and would make a great addition to any library.
